🎯 Purpose of the Role

  • The Department of Local Government, Western Cape, is seeking a competent and motivated individual to provide effective administrative support for GG transport services within the department.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification
  • A valid driving licence (Code B or higher)
  • 📝 Note: Persons with disabilities that restrict driving abilities but have reasonable access to transport may also apply.

🔧 Key Performance Areas

  • Maintain the GG vehicle fleet and parking area
  • Inspect GG vehicles and facilities
  • Manage issuing, receiving, and hiring of GG vehicles
  • Investigate misuse of vehicles and compile related reports
  • Handle general GG administration, including:
    • Licensing
    • Odometer and logbook tracking
    • Payment processing
    • Traffic fine management
  • Administer accidents and losses related to GG vehicles
  • Conduct information sessions with staff on vehicle usage policies

    • Transport management policies and procedures
    • Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)

    • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
