About the Role
We are looking for a Foundation Phase Teacher to teach at our Ruimsig campus. Resident Teachers lead instruction and planning for grade-level classrooms and drive a rigorous, enquiry-based learning environment the Nova Pioneer way.
Resident Teachers are supported by Deans of Instruction, who provide ongoing coaching, lesson observations, and professional development.
Key Responsibilities

Design impactful lessons in collaboration with learning designers.

Deliver engaging enquiry-based lessons with a focus on learning through play.
-
Observe, coach, and mentor Apprentice and Assistant Teachers.
-
Create a nurturing, child-centered environment responsive to the dynamic needs of young learners.
-
Support toilet training and developmental milestones in preschoolers.
-
Infuse joy and curiosity into lessons to inspire a love of learning.
-
Set and communicate ambitious goals for all students.
-
Assess and communicate student progress regularly with parents.
-
Participate in professional growth opportunities and co-curricular programming.
-
Engage in teamwork, feedback sessions, and continuous reflection.
About You
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed) or Bachelor’s + PGCE (Foundation Phase).
-
SACE registered (include registration number and certificate).
-
Understanding of child development and play-based learning.
-
Experience with Reggio Emilia approach (advantageous).
-
Classroom leadership experience (including practicals).
