About the Role

We are looking for a Foundation Phase Teacher to teach at our Ruimsig campus. Resident Teachers lead instruction and planning for grade-level classrooms and drive a rigorous, enquiry-based learning environment the Nova Pioneer way.

Resident Teachers are supported by Deans of Instruction, who provide ongoing coaching, lesson observations, and professional development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design impactful lessons in collaboration with learning designers.

  • Deliver engaging enquiry-based lessons with a focus on learning through play.

  • Observe, coach, and mentor Apprentice and Assistant Teachers.

  • Create a nurturing, child-centered environment responsive to the dynamic needs of young learners.

  • Support toilet training and developmental milestones in preschoolers.

  • Infuse joy and curiosity into lessons to inspire a love of learning.

  • Set and communicate ambitious goals for all students.

  • Assess and communicate student progress regularly with parents.

  • Participate in professional growth opportunities and co-curricular programming.

  • Engage in teamwork, feedback sessions, and continuous reflection.


About You

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed) or Bachelor’s + PGCE (Foundation Phase).

  • SACE registered (include registration number and certificate).

  • Understanding of child development and play-based learning.

  • Experience with Reggio Emilia approach (advantageous).

  • Classroom leadership experience (including practicals).
