Description:
The Site Clerk will be responsible for administrative duties across site operations, including procurement, safety records, wage processing, and internal communication. This role acts as a critical link between site staff and administration/management.


Responsibilities:

Site Administration:

  • Accurately complete requisitions for all purchases

  • Ensure correct contract allocation and proper approval of all requisitions

  • Maintain and organize site costing documentation

Safety and Training Administration:

  • Ensure database backups are available

  • Prevent loss or damage of office property

  • Maintain housekeeping standards within the site office

Personal Administration:

  • Serve as liaison between site administrator, contract manager, wage office, and HR department

  • Compile monthly HR report figures and submit to the Site Administrator

Wage Administration:

  • Control, compile, and forward time book documentation as required

  • Register and address wage-related queries

Communication:

  • Record minutes from monthly communication meetings

  • Act as a communication link between employees and site management


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 / Matric

  • Certificate in Finance or HR Administration

Experience:

  • At least 1 year of prior administrative experience

  • Experience in a construction site environment is advantageous

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities

  • Ability to negotiate and think innovatively
