Job Description:
We are looking for a Waiter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, ensuring a positive guest experience, and performing duties in a professional and consistent manner.
Key Responsibilities:

Offer meal and drink recommendations to guests at special events or parties in a friendly and professional manner.

Ensure that all plates, cutlery, and glassware are clean, polished, and in good condition.

Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including tables, floors, walls, and serving stations.

Assist clients with special needs, ensuring that service standards are met.

Welcome guests warmly and assist them with their needs.

Organize and present menus, considering seasonality and client feedback.

Oversee waitstaff performance to ensure excellent customer service.

Process payments (cash, credit cards, debit cards) accurately.

Ensure correct billing procedures are followed after each service.

Ensure that table settings are correct, including cutlery and glassware.

Build lasting relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.

Evaluate customer feedback to identify areas for improvement.
Skills & Competencies:

Ability to walk and stand for extended hours.

Flexible and able to work different shifts.

Remain calm and professional with difficult customers.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Coordination and dexterity to carry plates or trays without mishap.

Qualifications & Experience:

Grade 12 (Matric)
-
3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
-
Culinary qualification (advantageous).
