This prestigious boarding school, situated in Henley-on-Klip, Meyerton, provides high-quality education to over 300 students from Grades 8–12, with learners writing the Independent Examination Board (IEB) NSC Examination.
Position Overview
The Senior Educational Psychologist will oversee the day-to-day operations, strategy development, and implementation of psychological services at the Academy. This position reports directly to the Head of Student Affairs and plays a key role in promoting the holistic development and emotional well-being of learners through evidence-based interventions and trauma-informed care.

Minimum Requirements

Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology.

Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).

Valid and up-to-date CPD portfolio.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Educational Psychologist (preferably in a school environment).

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management or leadership role.

Proven experience working with vulnerable learners and those with a history of trauma.

Experience in multi-disciplinary collaboration and developing learner support systems.
Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership and management of the Psychology Unit.

Develop and implement departmental strategies, SOPs, and policies aligned with OWLAG’s goals.

Deliver psychological and counselling services to students.

Lead crisis management initiatives and promote trauma-informed practices.

Monitor budgets, prepare reports, and ensure HPCSA compliance.
-
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service delivery.

Foster student wellness through evidence-based programmes.
