Eligibility:
-
South African Citizens not older than 25 years.
-
The bursary is for students intending to enroll or already studying for their first qualification at the undergraduate level only. No postgraduate or second qualifications will be funded.

Matriculants must have a minimum of 60% overall pass rate (mid-year results).
-
Tertiary applicants must have a minimum of 60% overall average pass rate of the most recent results.
-
Must be registered or accepted to study at a South African Public Accredited Institution of Higher Learning.

How to Apply:
You may choose one of the following options to submit your application:
Option 1: Complete the Online Bursary Application Form (MS Form).
Option 2: Download the application form and complete it manually.
After completing the application, email all supporting documents to bursaryapplications@pic.gov.za with the subject line: Full Name and Surname.
Compulsory Instructions:

All compulsory fields (*) must be filled.

Certified copies of all supporting documents (certified within 3 months of submission) must be submitted.

The application form must be signed by the applicant and their Parent/Guardian (if the applicant is a minor).

Incomplete application forms or falsified, uncertified, or invalid documents will not be considered.
Supporting Documents Checklist:

A copy of valid RSA identity document

Proof of disability (medical certificate, if applicable)

Academic transcripts (if currently enrolled at an accredited tertiary institution)

Matric Certificate or Grade 11 & June results (if currently in Grade 12)

Preliminary acceptance letter(s) from an accredited tertiary institution

Proof of monthly household income and dependants (e.g., salary/wage slips, affidavit if unemployed, SASSA letter for grants, affidavit from self-employed, etc.)

Death certificate (if applicable)

Court letter or affidavit for child support (if parents are divorced/separated)
Bursary Terms:
-
The bursary is awarded for the full academic period at a single academic institution.
-
Awards will be in line with the PIC Employment Equity and Transformation agenda.
