NATIONAL PROSECUTING AUTHORITY (NPA)

TVET PLACEMENT PROGRAMME (Internship) 2026 – 2028

🔹 Programme Overview

  • Target: South African unemployed learners currently studying for a higher education qualification at a TVET institution.

  • Duration: 24 months work experience placement.

  • Purpose: To fulfill qualification requirements through practical work experience.

  • Once-off opportunity: Previous participants are not eligible to apply.

  • Encouragement: People with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.


Generic Requirements

  • Must be a South African citizen.

  • Must have no criminal convictions or pending cases.

  • Must be unemployed.

  • Must have never participated in the TVET placement programme before.

  • Must reside in the province where the placement is advertised.

  • Must submit a recently completed Z83 form (new form since Jan 2021), downloadable from:
    DPSA Website

  • Submit a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV).

  • Apply to only one centre/location — multiple applications lead to disqualification.


📄 Application Process

  • Submit applications via the specified recruitment email address for each post.

  • Applications not sent via the published email address will be disqualified.

  • No late applications will be accepted.

  • The NPA is not responsible for server delays.

  • Applicants are advised not to contact the NPA directly after applying.
    If no acknowledgment is received within one week after the closing date, then contact the NPA via the enquiry details in the advert.

  • Only shortlisted candidates will be required to submit certified copies of qualifications and relevant documents.

  • Fingerprints will be taken at the interview.

  • Applications using the old Z83 form (pre-Jan 2021) will not be considered.

  • NPA does not cover resettlement costs for successful candidates.

  • Stipends will follow the DPSA Remuneration Schedule for Developmental Programmes.

  • If no communication is received within 6 months of closing, consider the application unsuccessful.
