The Group’s Fidelity ADT division is seeking qualified and experienced Firefighters to join their Western Cape Operations Team in Hout Bay / Bellville.
Position Overview
The Fire Fighter will be responsible for responding to fire incidents, performing emergency rescue operations, conducting fire prevention training, and maintaining firefighting equipment. This role plays a vital part in protecting lives and property of Fidelity’s clients and communities.
Key Responsibilities

Respond to fire, rescue, and hazardous substance incidents promptly and effectively.

Provide emergency medical care and assist with casualty extrication and resuscitation.

Operate and maintain firefighting vehicles, hoses, and equipment.

Participate in fire safety inspections, drills, and simulation exercises.

Train staff on fire prevention and safety procedures.

Conduct health and safety inspections and complete relevant documentation.

Drive and operate heavy or specialized fire vehicles to and from emergency scenes.

Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and company safety policies.

Assist with Fire and Safety education and community training initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
-
Grade 12 (Matric) – essential.
-
IFSAC Accredited with NFPA 1001 Firefighter II certification.
-
2–3 years’ firefighting experience in an operational environment.

Valid Code C1 driver’s license with PrDP.

Medically and physically fit for duty.

Sound knowledge of fire prevention procedures and firefighting systems.

Hazmat experience and knowledge essential.

First Aid Levels 1–3 or Basic Ambulance Attendant / EMT certification.

Clear criminal record.

Sound understanding of Hazmat guidelines.

Knowledge of the Security and Firefighting industry standards.

Ability to stay calm and act decisively under pressure.
