Position Overview:
Tyger Valley College, part of the ADvTECH Group, is looking for an experienced and passionate Life Orientation Teacher to join our team starting in January 2026. This permanent position involves teaching Life Orientation to Grade 8 to Grade 12 students in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment, where both academic excellence and personal development are prioritized.
Job Description:
As an Life Orientation Teacher in the FET phase, you will play a vital role in guiding and encouraging students to realize their academic potential while preparing them for life beyond graduation. You will work collaboratively with students, staff, parents, and the wider community to create a positive learning environment.

Be accountable for academic delivery, assessment & reporting, student behavior management, school brand ambassadorship, administration, and health & safety.
Qualifications & Experience:

A degree (NQF level 7) and PGCE or B.Ed. (FET) with specialization in Life Orientation.

SACE certification and a police clearance are required.

2-5 years of teaching experience, with 2-5 years in specialist subject teaching.

Proficiency in computer and digital literacy.

First Aid certification.
