Position Overview:
ADvTECH, a leading provider of private education in Africa, is seeking a Foundation Phase FAL Setswana Educator to fill a maternity leave post at Pinnacle College Copperleaf – Preparatory. This is a short-term contract, set to run for 2 ½ months, and offers an opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking school committed to excellence in education.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering future-focused education that motivates, challenges, and inspires young learners, specifically in the Foundation Phase.
Key Responsibilities:

Academic Delivery: Create engaging learning experiences in literacy, numeracy, and foundational education skills, with a focus on Setswana as the First Additional Language (FAL).

Assessment & Reporting: Conduct assessments and provide reports on student progress in line with school guidelines.

Student Behaviour Management: Foster a positive learning environment, ensuring that students’ behaviour is well-managed and conducive to their academic and personal growth.

School Brand Ambassadorship: Represent and promote the school’s values and ethos in the community.

Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and guardians to ensure the holistic development of students.

Administration & Health & Safety: Manage administrative duties and ensure that safety procedures are followed.
Qualifications & Experience:
-
Undergraduate degree (NQF Level 6) in Early Childhood Development (ECD) or B. Education (Foundation Phase).

A PGCE is required if the degree is in a field like Psychology.
-
SACE certification and a Police Clearance Certificate are required.
-
2-5 years of teaching experience, particularly in Foundation Phase education.

Strong digital literacy and experience in using technology in the classroom.

Basic First Aid certification.
