Job Description:
ADvTECH, a leading provider of private education in Africa, is seeking a passionate and skilled Afrikaans Teacher for the FET Phase at Abbotts High School, located in Rondebosch, Cape Town. Key Responsibilities:

Academic Delivery: Plan, organize, and implement instructional programs in Afrikaans to inspire, challenge, and support students.

Assessment & Reporting: Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them develop.

Student Behaviour Management: Maintain a positive, respectful learning environment while managing classroom behaviour.

Collaboration: Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and the broader school community.

School Brand Ambassadorship: Promote and represent the school with professionalism and pride.

Health & Safety: Ensure a safe and healthy environment for all students.
Qualifications & Experience:

Degree (NQF Level 7) and PGCE or B.Ed. (FET) with specialization in Afrikaans.

SACE Certification and a Police Clearance are mandatory.

2–5 years teaching experience in Afrikaans at the high school level.
-
2–5 years in specialist subject teaching (Afrikaans).

Computer and digital literacy skills are essential.

First Aid certification is advantageous.
