Job Description:
Steyn City School is seeking a dynamic Locum English Teacher to teach Grade 5 to 7 students. The ideal candidate will be an experienced and well-qualified educator, passionate about curriculum development, and capable of delivering innovative, energetic, and creative lessons. The candidate will also play an active role in the co-curricular activities of the school, enriching students’ overall learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality English lessons to Grade 5 to 7 students, focusing on improving reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.

Engage in curriculum development to ensure lessons are relevant, dynamic, and effective.

Foster a positive learning environment that supports student growth and creativity.

Participate actively in the co-curricular life of the school, helping students develop beyond the classroom.

Collaborate with fellow educators and contribute to the overall school community.
Qualifications & Experience:

An appropriate degree and/or professional teaching qualification.

SACE registration is required.

Experience in curriculum development and an understanding of current educational trends.

Previous experience in independent education is advantageous but not essential.

A strong passion for teaching with a creative and energetic approach.
