Job Overview:
Kalafong Provincial Tertiary Hospital is seeking to fill five Messenger positions within the Patient Affairs Directorate. This role is vital to supporting administrative operations and ensuring the smooth running of the hospital’s internal and external mail and records systems.
Key Responsibilities Include:

File Management: Collecting and delivering patient files throughout the hospital.

Assistance with Records: Assisting with the issuing and drawing of files in Records.

Archiving: Transferring files to archives.
-
Mail Distribution: Distributing internal mail, circulars, memos, prescription charts, and order books.

External Mail: Collection and delivery of mail outside the hospital premises.

General Support: Assisting with other duties as directed by supervisors.
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Education: A minimum of Grade 10 or ABET Level 4 certificate and above. An original school report or transcript with a school stamp must be provided.

Experience: A minimum of 12 months’ proven experience as a Messenger is an added advantage.

Skills: Ability to work well in a team, perform under pressure, meet deadlines, and apply the Batho Pele Principles.

Flexibility: Willingness to work weekends and public holidays when required.

Driver’s Licence: Advantageous but not compulsory. People living with disabilities will be considered even without a driver’s licence.
