Job Description
Cannons Creek Independent School is seeking a qualified Computer Applications Technology (CAT) Teacher to join our team for Grades 10-12. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching CAT at the FET (Further Education and Training) level, contributing to the school’s pastoral and extracurricular activities, and supporting our commitment to educational excellence.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Teach Computer Applications Technology (CAT) to Grades 10-12.

Engage in the pastoral and extracurricular activities of the school.

Contribute to the overall educational development of students.

Maintain organisational and administrative responsibilities related to teaching.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience

A recognised teaching qualification is essential.

SACE Registration (South African Council for Educators) is mandatory.

Minimum of three years teaching experience.

Proficiency in computer literacy and teaching CAT.

Police Clearance Certificate will be required.

A passion for education and working with children.

Strong organisational and administration skills.

Knowledge of the latest teaching trends and educational technologies.
Advantageous

Experience teaching in Independent Schools would be beneficial.

Proficiency with the Google Suite and other digital tools.

The ability to teach an additional subject would be an advantage.
Position Details
This is currently a part-time position, but there is the potential to move to full-time based on the applicant’s ability to teach additional subjects.
