🎯 Job Purpose
The Pharmacy Shop Assistant at Medirite Plus Daspoort is responsible for supporting smooth in-store retail operations. This role requires a customer-focused, adaptable, and hardworking individual to provide excellent service, assist customers, maintain product displays, and manage transactions efficiently.
⚙️ Key Responsibilities

Handle payments and balance sales and receipts according to company procedures

Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and advise customers
-
Restock items and organize the sales floor according to SOPs
-
Conduct price audits to identify and resolve discrepancies
-
Process customer payments using the Point of Sale (POS) system
-
Maintain visual merchandising standards and perform housekeeping duties
-
Handle customer queries and escalate to management when necessary
-
Stay informed on promotions and special offers
🧠 Qualifications & Experience
-
Essential Qualification: Grade 12
-
Experience: Minimum 5 months’ POS/till experience in a retail environment

Proven retail sales experience on the sales floor and cash counter
Knowledge & Skills:

Strong customer service and communication skills

Familiarity with stock receiving and merchandising standards

Computer literate
-
Bilingual (Afrikaans and English preferred)

Engaging, friendly personality and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Knowledge of payment procedures (cash, cheque, bank card, credit cards, coupons, vouchers)
