Position Overview
The Hospitality / Tourism FET Teacher will be responsible for teaching and inspiring learners in the FET Phase (Grades 10–12), preparing them for success beyond school. The educator must design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the IEB curriculum and foster a positive learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and implement high-quality instructional programs for FET learners.

Deliver future-focused education that motivates, challenges, and inspires students.

Manage classroom administration and discipline effectively.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Participate actively in academic delivery, assessment, and reporting.

Promote the school’s brand values and uphold its standards of excellence.

Ensure adherence to Health & Safety and administrative policies.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
-
A Degree (NQF Level 7) with PGCE or B.Ed (FET) specializing in Hospitality and/or Tourism.

IEB Hospitality/Tourism FET experience is essential.

SACE registration and valid Police Clearance.

2–5 years teaching experience in relevant subjects.

Strong computer and digital literacy.

Valid First Aid certification (advantageous).
