POSITION SUMMARY:

Eskom is looking for a Graduate in Training to manage security operations within the Security Risk Management Department. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their career in security risk management, while contributing to Eskom’s security strategy and operations.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Responsibilities:

Implement the organization’s security strategy.
Co-ordinate and implement a stakeholder/customer service plan.
Develop and manage Eskom’s security business plan and resources.
Implement and co-ordinate the organization’s security applications and business information system.
Manage external service providers.
Ensure compliance with ISO and OHSAS certification.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Focus on safety and security in all areas.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications:

National Diploma in Security Risk Management or a related qualification (equivalent to National Diploma NQF Level).
PSIRA Grade B (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority) certification is an added advantage.

Experience:

No prior experience required (entry-level position).

Skills:

General management skills.
Negotiation skills.
Excellent supervisory abilities.
Strong analytical skills.
Effective communication skills for conveying ideas and concepts to management, customers, stakeholders, and subordinates.
Sound knowledge of Human Resources processes and Industrial Relations skills.
Computer literacy.
Ability to gather evidence and protect crime scenes.

Knowledge:

Ability to formulate strategies.
Familiarity with Eskom’s security policies, systems, and standards.
Knowledge of the Control of Access to Public Premises and Vehicles Act 53 of 1985 and related statutes.
National Key Point Training Program.
PSIRA Skills Program – Security Supervisor (added advantage).
