Key Responsibilities
-
Plant seeds and seedlings, harvest fruits and vegetables
-
Irrigation and fertilizer application
-
Control weeds, pests, and diseases, and sample plants for evaluation
-
Perform farm practices as directed by the supervisor

Protect field trials from animal interference
-
Use and maintain tools and equipment responsibly
-
Follow Occupational Health and Safety instructions and wear protective clothing
Job Requirements
-
Grade 10 education and basic agricultural knowledge
-
Basic understanding of manual operation of farm equipment and machinery
-
Good verbal and written communication skills
-
Knowledge of health and safety procedures
-
Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions
