Role Overview:
Support the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students; collaborate with the multi-disciplinary Learning Team; provide guidance and counselling for students, staff, and parents.
Minimum Requirements:

Recognised counselling qualifications, registered with relevant professional body
-
Previous school-based experience essential

Inspirational, organised, energetic, with strong interpersonal skills

Strong English verbal and written communication

Ability to run workshops for students, staff, and parents

Ability to maintain accurate and confidential records
-
Familiarity with South African Schools Act, Children’s Act

Comprehensive computer literacy
-
Clearances: Police, Sexual Offences, and Child Protection
Key Responsibilities:

Counsel students across all age groups

Communicate sensitively with parents and staff

Collaborate with other professionals on the Learning Team

Provide guidance to teaching and non-teaching staff

Maintain confidential student records and documentation
