REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Grade 10 or ABET (NQF Level 2)

  • Experience: Corporate driving experience (1 year) advantageous

  • Driver’s License: Required

  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Organizational, people, basic written communication, and report-writing skills.

    • MS Office literacy.

    • Time management, client orientation, problem-solving, teamwork, accountability, creativity, confidence, flexibility, attention to detail.

    • Knowledge of vehicle operation and maintenance procedures.


DUTIES:

  1. Messenger Functions:

    • Sort, arrange, and record correspondences.

    • Maintain correspondence registers.

    • Record contents and addresses of mail, files, and parcels.

  2. Mail and File Distribution:

    • Collect, distribute, and circulate mail, parcels, documents, and files.

    • Ensure recipients sign delivery registers.

  3. Office Support Tasks:

    • Make copies, fax, shred documents.

    • Collect office consumables.

    • Control movement of documents.

    • Maintain accurate schedule/trip sheets.

  4. Vehicle Monitoring:

    • Ensure state vehicle is roadworthy.

    • Report accidents/incidents.

    • Issue trip authority and book vehicle services.
