REQUIREMENTS:

ABET Certificate or relevant qualification

0–1 year working experience (experience in manual work is an added advantage)

Knowledge & competencies:

Handling equipment and appliances for general work
-
Gardening equipment, lawn care, pruning, trimming
-
Chemical use (dilution/mix) and product knowledge
-
Daily maintenance procedures for efficient machine/equipment performance
-
Supporting water utilisation and water resource strategy
-
Health and safety procedures
-
Garden maintenance and planting practices
-
Basic understanding of government legislation
-

Good communication and teamwork skills
-
Ability to work near rivers, dams, canals, and confined spaces
-
Must be punctual, productive, loyal, and willing to assist other schemes/maintenance teams
DUTIES / KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
-
Clean and maintain grounds, including sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, and other features
-
Repair tools and structures (buildings, fences, benches) using hand/power tools
-
Mix, spray, or spread fertilisers, herbicides, and insecticides on grass, shrubs, and trees
-
Maintain gardens: care for sod, plants, trees; rake/mulch leaves; irrigate lawns
-
Sweep walkways, parking lots, and grounds; clean buildings and windows
-
Conduct routine equipment maintenance; repair minor damages and refer major repairs to service providers
-
Maintain accurate records (job cards, equipment repair logs)
-
Conduct inspections and report defects (structural cracks, holes in embankments, stagnant water)
