🧾 Position Overview
Ivanplats is seeking an experienced Cost and Management Accountant to join its Concentrator Finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in budgeting, cost management, reporting, and analysis — supporting data-driven decision-making across the business.
🎓 Minimum Qualifications & Skills
-
BSc/BA in Accounting, BTech, Finance, or a related field
-
Professional certification such as CMA or CGMA (advantageous)
-
Registered with SAICA (CASA) (preferred)
-
Strong knowledge of management accounting principles, cost accounting, budgeting, and forecasting
-
Proficiency in financial software (CAM/JDE) and Microsoft Office (Excel – Advanced)
-
Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
-
Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in a similar role within a mining operation
⚙️ Key Responsibilities
-
Prepare and distribute budget templates to budget-holders annually
-
Assist with budget planning, queries, and labour cost analysis
-
Consolidate and load OPEX/CAPEX budgets onto JDE after shareholder approval
-
Analyse financial trends, variances, and resource allocation
-
Oversee and quality assure reports and submissions from accountants
-
Support month-end closing processes and financial accruals
-
Conduct inventory and finished product valuation
-
Provide expert input in management discussion and analysis reports
-
Identify process and system improvements to enhance efficiency
-
Benchmark against global best practices and recommend improvements
-
Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, and Commercial departments for alignment
-
Manage stakeholder relationships and ensure quality service delivery

Ensure compliance with company policies, governance, and reporting standards
