⚙️ Position Overview
Ivanplats is looking for a skilled Load Haul Dump (LHD) Operator to join its growing mining team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe loading, hauling, and transportation of ore within the underground mining environment, ensuring production targets are met efficiently and safely.
🎓 Minimum Qualifications & Skills

Matric / NQF Level 4
-
LHD Operator Training Certificate or Licence
-
Competent B Certificate
-
Medical Certificate of Fitness to work underground
-
At least 2 years’ experience working as an LHD Operator in a mining environment
-
Knowledge of trackless mobile equipment (TMM) operations and underground safety procedures
🧱 Work Experience Required
-
Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience operating LHD equipment underground
-
Familiarity with safe operating practices for underground mining
-
Understanding of mine production processes, including loading and hauling
🧠 Key Responsibilities
-
Operate LHD machines to achieve daily mining and production targets
-
Load and haul material to underground tip areas or trucks
-
Maintain machine cleanliness and refuelling after each shift
-
Prevent equipment damage by applying good operating practices
-
Assist the Load & Haul Miner with workplace Safe Declarations
-
Complete and submit all required operational paperwork accurately
-
Promote safety-first culture and comply with all mine procedures and policies
