🎯 Role Purpose
The Artisan Assistant supports artisans and supervisors in completing projects efficiently, performing general maintenance tasks, and ensuring safe and functional systems within the mine.
✅ Minimum Requirements
-
Grade 12 / NQF Level 4
-
N3 Engineering studies (advantageous)
-
Computer literacy
-
2 years mining experience in an engineering discipline
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
-
Assist artisans and supervisors in completing projects and work orders
-
Install system components to maintain a safe and workable environment
-
Perform general and semi-skilled maintenance activities (carpentry, painting, electrical)

Prepare written materials such as repair status reports and activity logs
-
Transport tools, equipment, and supplies to job sites
-
Support effective maintenance through good housekeeping practices
