🎯 Role Purpose
The Artisan Fitter UG will maintain, repair, and service underground mining machinery, equipment, and systems, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.
✅ Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / NQF 4
-
Relevant Trade Certificate
-
First Aid Certificate (advantageous)
-
Valid Code EB (08) Driver’s License
-
Fault-finding skills
Work Experience:
-
Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in a mining environment

Solid welding and mechanical experience
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
-
Clean, lubricate, and preserve machinery, vehicles, equipment, tools, workshop, tool room, and yard
-
Maintain mechanical equipment and de-watering systems
-
Maintain winder and headgear
-
General cleaning and rust removal on parts and equipment
-
Proper use and care of equipment
-
Assist artisans with inspection, testing, and repairs of lifting equipment and plant
-
Deliver and collect materials, spares, tools, and machinery used in fabrication and maintenance
