Ivanplats (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is developing the Platreef Project, a world-class palladium, rhodium, nickel, copper, and gold mine near Mokopane. The mine uses large mechanised underground mining methods and cutting-edge technology.
🎯 Role Purpose
The Draughtperson will provide accurate draughting and design support using computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) to ensure all drawings meet engineering, architectural, and regulatory requirements.
✅ Minimum Requirements

Grade 12
-
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Architecture, or a recognized technical college degree
-
Computer literacy
-
Experience with CADD systems
-
Manual drawing skills advantageous but not essential
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
-
Schedule drawings according to agreed priorities
-
Provide quality draughting services following specifications and calculations
-
Prepare rough sketches and detailed CADD drawings
-
Perform calculations for materials and weight limitations
-
Communicate with engineers and incorporate feedback into drawings
-
Prepare, review, and redraft drawings alongside the Survey team
-
Ensure final designs comply with legislation and regulations

Identify and communicate potential design problems

Prepare reports for management and stakeholders
