🔹 About the Role
Rand Water is seeking a qualified Auto Electrician to repair and maintain electrical systems on vehicles, plant, and equipment, including light and heavy-duty machinery.
✅ Minimum Requirements
-
Grade 12 or N3
-
Auto Electrician Trade Test Certificate
-
Valid C1 Driver’s License
-
2 years’ experience with light duty, heavy duty, plant & equipment (Yellow Machinery)
🔹 Key Duties
-
Repair and maintain electrical systems on vehicles, plant, and equipment
-
Complete job cards and timesheets for Supervisor review
-
Attend Green Area Meetings to discuss technical issues
-
Attend breakdowns after hours and on weekends
-
Perform field services and repairs
-
Escort extra heavy loads when required
🔹 Knowledge & Skills
-
Basic SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality) knowledge
-
Familiarity with the latest testing equipment
-
Diesel injection system understanding
-
Verbal & written communication skills

Customer service-oriented with attention to detail
