About the Learnership
Lucchini South Africa (Pty) Ltd invites young, motivated South Africans aged 18–24 to apply for its 2026 Production Technology Learnership Programme.
This 12-month fixed-term learnership offers hands-on training in production processes, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), quality control, and safety compliance within a world-class manufacturing environment.
It is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, adaptable, and eager to begin a career in the manufacturing and industrial technology sector.
Key Responsibilities
As a Production Technology Learner, you will:

Perform routine production maintenance and report irregularities
-
Apply production system principles and assist in workflow control
-
Support equipment setup and assist in NDT operations
-
Implement and monitor quality assurance processes
-
Conduct regular quality checks and maintain documentation
-
Assist with packaging, labeling, and stock control
-
Collaborate with NDT Technicians and Operators to meet daily targets
-
Maintain clean, safe, and organized production areas
Minimum Requirements
Education & Experience:
-
Matric / Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science
-
No prior work experience required (ideal for unemployed youth or students)
Skills & Attributes:

Age: 18–24 years

Medically fit and physically capable

Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
-
Strong English communication skills (verbal & written)

Self-motivated, proactive, and safety-conscious

Able to work independently and in a team
