Overview:
John Thompson invites unemployed youth residing in Lekwa Local Municipality to apply for a 3-year Apprenticeship Programme in the following trades:

Welding (5 positions)

Rigging (5 positions)
-
Boilermaking (3 positions)
These structured apprenticeships offer a blend of accredited theoretical training, hands-on experience, and full preparation for the trade test.
Minimum Requirements:

N3 / Grade 12 (NSC) / NCV Level 4 or equivalent

Subjects: Mathematics, Engineering Drawings, and relevant trade theory with at least 50% average
-
Must be a resident of Lekwa Municipality

Medically fit, willing to undergo medical and drug/alcohol testing

Police clearance certificate (≤ 12 months old) or proof of application
-
Willing to relocate or transfer for training exposure
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with maintenance tasks and report irregularities

Apply production planning and scheduling basics

Support quality assurance and safety standards

Operate and set up equipment under supervision

Maintain accurate documentation (job cards, reports, logs)

Work collaboratively to meet daily production targets
