Job Purpose
Apply spray paint to parts, machinery, and equipment, ensuring high-quality protective or decorative finishes and executing associated tasks.
Key Responsibilities

Spray surfaces of machines, manufactured products, or working areas using paint, enamel, glaze, gelcoat, or lacquer

Mask areas not to be coated
-
Fill cavities and dents with putty for smooth surfaces

Select and mix coating liquids to achieve required colour

Pour coating into spray container and operate spray gun, adjusting width and pressure
-
Coat areas inaccessible to hand sprayers using brushes

Clean spraying equipment and brushes with solvent

Execute additional spray-painting tasks:

Discuss project requirements with clients

Prepare job site

Apply primers and remove old paint

Fill holes, match colours, and clean tools and site

Requirements

National Senior Certificate
-
Qualified spray painter
-
Minimum 3 years relevant experience
