Purpose of the Role
To teach Grade 7 subjects, primarily English and Social Sciences, to remedial learners, while supporting differentiated learning and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Minimum Requirements

Relevant Teaching Degree from a recognised institution

Registration with SACE
-
Current Police Clearance
-
Experience teaching Grade 5–7 CAPS curricula
-
Knowledge of Afrikaans and Social Sciences
Competencies / Skills
-
Remedial teaching qualification or experience with remedial learners
-
Understanding of GDE ATPs and curriculum
-
Excellent teaching skills in English, Afrikaans, and Maths (Intermediate Phase)

Strong written and spoken English

Ability to differentiate instruction and provide personalised support

Excellent organisation and time management
-
Passion for remedial teaching, initiative, and willingness to learn

Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills

Computer literate and able to work under pressure
Key Duties
-
Serve as the Grade 7 class teacher
-
Teach Grade 5–7 subjects (English & Social Sciences focus)

Assess and track learner performance; identify intervention needs
-
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
-
Liaise with parents, therapists, and teachers
-
Participate in extra-curricular activities and other school duties
