Purpose of the Role
To provide psychological assessment, counselling, and intervention for learners aged 4–18, coordinate careers and sports psychology initiatives, and contribute to the holistic wellness of students across all school phases.
Minimum Requirements
-
Master’s degree in Educational Psychology
-
Registration with HPCSA as an Educational Psychologist
-
Experience in a school context (preferably boys’ education)
-
Knowledge of relevant policy and legislation
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Key Duties

Provide psychological assessments, counselling, and interventions for learners

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to promote learner wellbeing

Support career development and guide learners in exploring pathways for life beyond school

Coordinate sports psychology initiatives focusing on motivation, resilience, and performance mindset

Participate in multidisciplinary support teams and contribute to staff development

Present talks, workshops, and written contributions to school newsletters
