Purpose of the Role:
The School Shop Administrator is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the school shop, ensuring it meets the needs of students, staff, and parents. This includes managing inventory, processing sales, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service & Sales: Assist customers with uniform and merchandise selection, sizing, and policy guidance. Process sales, returns, and handle customer queries.

  • Inventory Management: Receive, label, and track new stock. Maintain displays, monitor stock levels, reorder items as needed, and liaise with suppliers.

  • Shop Operations: Open and close shop, operate POS systems, and ensure compliance with school procedures.

  • Communication & Collaboration: Liaise with management and departments on operations and billing.

  • Administrative Support: Handle ad hoc admin duties, scheduling, and reporting.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience: Retail, customer service, or administrative experience preferred; school environment experience advantageous.

  • Skills:

    • Excellent communication and numerical skills

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems

    • Strong attention to detail and customer focus

    • Ability to manage high-pressure periods
