Human Resources Manager

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Appropriate qualification in Human Resources Management

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR, ideally in education

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • Recruitment practices

    • Remuneration and payroll

    • Labour laws and compliance standards

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work confidentially, ethically, and collaboratively

  • Conversational isiZulu or Afrikaans is advantageous


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR leadership and guidance for the school

  • Recruitment and onboarding of staff

  • Compliance with labour laws and regulations

  • Maintain accurate staff files, contracts, and audit-ready documentation

  • Employee relations and wellbeing, including grievances and disciplinary procedures

  • HR administration, payroll, and journal processing (VIP system)

  • HR reporting and policy adherence

  • Support and uphold the Christian ethos and values of the school

  • Work independently and flexibly, including outside normal office hours when required
