Responsibilities:
Teaching & Learning:

Teach Grade 7–9 English and EMS at both group and individual levels.

Gain mastery of the subject content across all grade levels.
-
Manage students’ weekly deadlines and monitor progress.
-
Mark and record assessments within 24 hours.
-
Provide remediation or extension as needed.
-
Give regular feedback on assessments.
Administrative & Additional Duties:
-
Attend school hours: 08:00 – 15:30.
-
Update marking and assessment schedules weekly.
-
Compile year-end transcripts and write termly reports.
-
Attend staff meetings and parent/teacher evenings.
-
Arrange curricular-related outings.
-
Participate in professional development training.
Candidate Requirements:
-
Fully qualified to teach in a South African high school.
-
Registered with SACE.
-
Willingness to engage with Jewish values and practices.
-
Self-motivated, energetic, and proactive.
-
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
-
Excellent communication skills, student- and parent-focused.
-
Ability to inspire, comfort, and build student self-esteem.
-
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Google Suite.

Adherence to the school’s traditional values (including modest attire).
Additional Advantage:

Experience in teaching IT, PE, Afrikaans, or Art in these grades.
