Offers three educational streams and therapeutic interventions from a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Class teacher for Grade 7.
-
Teach Grade 5–7 subjects, focusing on English and Social Sciences.
-
Assess and track learner performance; identify needs for intervention and support.
-
Liaise with parents, therapists, and teachers.
-
Attend and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings.
-
Participate in extra-curricular activities and other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
-
Relevant Teaching Degree from a recognised institution.
-
SACE registration.
-
Current Police Clearance.
-
Experience teaching Grade 5–7 CAPS curricula, particularly English and Social Sciences.
-
Knowledge and experience teaching Afrikaans.
Competencies & Skills:
-
Remedial teaching qualification or experience with remedial learners.
-
Understanding of GDE ATPs and curriculum.
-
Strong teaching skills in English, Afrikaans, and Maths.
-
Experience with differentiation and personalized learner support.
-
Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-
Computer literate and able to work under pressure.
-
Passion for remedial teaching and ability to deliver high-quality remedial instruction.
