Key Responsibilities

Conduct tests of construction materials, prepare sketches, and tabulations.

Assist in evaluating designs for both the Department and Private Developers related to Roads and Stormwater Infrastructure.

Ensure compliance with design specifications and standards (City, SABS, and National Traffic standards).

Assist in design investigations and site inspections.
-
Attend site meetings and provide support in Wayleave processes and other design-related functions.

Ensure designs meet the required quality standards.
-
Supervise and manage subordinates, including handling discipline and coordinating training needs.

Ensure adherence to Municipal and Departmental Policies.
Qualifications & Experience

Education:

National Diploma in Civil Engineering

Experience:
-
At least 1 year of experience in a similar environment.

Other Requirements:
-
Driver’s license.
-
Registration with ECSA as Engineering Technician (will be an advantage).
