About the Role
The International School of Cape Town (ISCT) is seeking an exceptionally dedicated, creative, and nurturing Part-Time Spanish Teacher to join our vibrant Primary School team. This teacher will inspire and engage young learners (ages 7–12) to embrace the joy of learning a new language. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in primary school education, with a passion for teaching Spanish and a commitment to fostering a supportive and stimulating learning environment.
Key Responsibilities

Teaching Schedule: 7 hours per week

Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the curriculum.

Create a safe, stimulating classroom environment that encourages both learning and personal growth.

Assess, record, and report on student progress, development, and achievement.

Adapt teaching strategies to meet the learning needs of multiple age groups (7–12 years old).

Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and school leadership.

Support the emotional and social development of students.
Minimum Requirements
-
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
-
Registered with SACE and in good standing.
-
Proven experience in Primary School teaching.

Proficiency with educational technology tools.

Strong skills in communication, planning, and classroom management.

A passion for Primary School education and a commitment to continuous professional growth.
Advantageous
-
Knowledge of and experience teaching the Cambridge Curriculum.
