About the Role

The International School of Cape Town (ISCT) is seeking an exceptionally dedicated, creative, and nurturing Part-Time Spanish Teacher to join our vibrant Primary School team. This teacher will inspire and engage young learners (ages 7–12) to embrace the joy of learning a new language. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in primary school education, with a passion for teaching Spanish and a commitment to fostering a supportive and stimulating learning environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching Schedule: 7 hours per week

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the curriculum.

  • Create a safe, stimulating classroom environment that encourages both learning and personal growth.

  • Assess, record, and report on student progress, development, and achievement.

  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the learning needs of multiple age groups (7–12 years old).

  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and school leadership.

  • Support the emotional and social development of students.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or an equivalent teaching qualification.

  • Registered with SACE and in good standing.

  • Proven experience in Primary School teaching.

  • Proficiency with educational technology tools.

  • Strong skills in communication, planning, and classroom management.

  • A passion for Primary School education and a commitment to continuous professional growth.


Advantageous

  • Knowledge of and experience teaching the Cambridge Curriculum.
