St Peter’s College, an independent Anglican Diocesan school for boys and girls from Grade 8 to Grade 12, is seeking to appoint a Human Resources Manager to lead and manage the College’s HR function.
The position focuses on aligning HR strategy with the school’s mission and values while fostering a culture of professionalism, care, and collaboration across all departments.

Founded in 1998 and located in northern Sandton, St Peter’s College offers a holistic, values-driven education promoting academic excellence, spiritual growth, creativity, sport, and community engagement.


Academic Requirements and Experience

  • Relevant qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.

  • Registration with a professional body (e.g. HPCSA or SABPP) is advantageous.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an HR role (preferably within an educational environment).

  • Proven experience in HR strategy, employee relations, performance management, and organisational development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic development and implementation of HR policies and practices.

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and staff wellbeing.

  • Support leadership teams with workforce planning and organisational development.

  • Ensure compliance with labour legislation and uphold best HR standards.

  • Champion transformation, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.

  • Manage HR systems, employee records, and reporting functions.

  • Facilitate professional development and training programmes.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to staff and leadership on HR matters.
