Description:
Clifton School, a leading independent boys’ school in Durban, is seeking to appoint a dynamic and experienced Subject Head for Accounting (Grades 9–12) to commence duties in Term 1 of 2026.
The successful candidate will lead the Accounting department, contribute to curriculum excellence, and participate actively in the co-curricular life of the school.
Requirements and Qualities
The ideal candidate will:

Be an appropriately qualified and experienced Accounting educator.

Be registered with SACE.
-
Have IEB experience (advantageous but not essential).
-
Have Matric marking experience (advantageous).
-
Demonstrate curriculum development experience or a sound knowledge of the IEB Accounting curriculum.

Be energetic, creative, and passionate about teaching.
-
Possess departmental or subject leadership experience (beneficial).
-
Be willing to play a full and active role in the co-curricular life of the school.
