About the Internship:
The Mossel Bay Municipality, through its Planning and Economic Development Department, invites unemployed graduates residing within the municipal boundaries to apply for the Local Economic Development Internship Programme 2025.
This initiative offers practical work experience related to each participant’s field of study, promoting youth employability and developing skills in economic development and municipal planning.
Preference will be given to applicants residing within Mossel Bay.
Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:

National Diploma or Degree (minimum NQF Level 6) in one of the following fields:

Tourism Management
-
Marketing
-
Local Economic Development
-
Business Administration
-
Investment Promotion
-
Or a related field
-
-
Must possess a valid Code B driver’s licence (manual vehicle)
-
Fluent in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape
-
Computer literate (MS Office applications)
-
Must not have been previously employed as an intern in the Public Sector
-
Must be willing to work overtime when required

Duration: 12 months (renewable up to a maximum of 3 years)

Monthly Stipend: R9,274.85
