Role Overview
Lead a classroom in the 2s, 3s, or 4s program using a play-based, emergent curriculum that fosters exploration, relationships, and curiosity. Support children’s holistic development while collaborating with the ECD team.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and facilitate daily learning experiences using play-based and emergent curriculum principles

Observe, assess, and document developmental progress using Ubuntu’s ECD framework
-
Create a nurturing, stimulating environment promoting cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth

Build positive relationships with parents and caregivers
-
Collaborate with the ECD team to improve classroom practice

Ensure compliance with DSD and SACE professional standards
Minimum Requirements
-
ECD Level 5 qualification or higher (Higher Certificate, Diploma, or B.Ed Foundation Phase)

SACE registration (or proof of registration in progress)

Minimum 2 years’ experience in early learning

Strong understanding of early childhood development and play-based approaches

Effective communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
