Role Overview:
Kingsmead College seeks a qualified and passionate Early Childhood Development (ECD) Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic educational team in January 2026.
The ideal candidate will contribute to the growth, learning, and wellbeing of young girls in a nurturing and stimulating environment.
Requirements:
✅ Professional ECD qualification and proven experience as a teaching assistant or childcare teacher
✅ Experience in ECD will be a strong advantage
✅ Valid criminal clearance, child protection register, and sexual offenders register certificates
✅ Strong communication, administrative, and organisational skills
✅ Computer literacy and ability to manage classroom-related tasks
✅ Knowledge of child development and socialisation techniques
✅ Experience using various learning methods — crafts, sensory play, puzzles, stories, and games
✅ Ability to maintain a pleasant, safe, and sanitary classroom environment
✅ Team player with strong interpersonal skills, energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for early learning
