Orion College is a private assisted learning and remedial school in Randpark Ridge that caters to learners with diverse learning needs and abilities. The school offers three educational streams and integrated therapeutic interventions through a multidisciplinary team.
The College is seeking to employ a full-time Educational Psychologist (Level 1 position) to work across both the Primary and High School phases from January 2026.
Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from a recognised university

Registration with the HPCSA by January 2026

Valid Police Clearance
Key Duties:
-
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and produce professional reports
-
Provide therapeutic interventions (individual and group psychotherapy, play therapy)
-
Manage learner cases and provide emotional containment
-
Observe and monitor learner progress
-
Assist with enrolment applications, including documentation review, parent meetings, and school tours
-
Attend and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings
-
Develop and implement intervention plans for teachers and parents
-
Assist with GDE assessment accommodations and concessions
-
Liaise effectively with parents and teachers
-
Prepare and facilitate learner and staff workshops or training sessions as required

Undertake other duties relevant to the role as needed
