Laerskool Midstream Ridge Primary is a values-driven, independent parallel medium school located in Centurion, Pretoria. The school seeks a passionate and dynamic Social Sciences Teacher who is enthusiastic about engaging young learners in History and Geography and who can also make a meaningful contribution to the boys’ sport programme.
Key Responsibilities:

Teach Social Sciences (History and Geography) to Grades 4–7 learners

Deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons that promote curiosity, critical thinking, and global awareness

Integrate technology, current events, and project-based learning into teaching

Assess and report on learner progress according to school and curriculum standards

Coach a boys’ sport, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship

Actively participate in the school’s co-curricular and extracurricular programmes
Requirements:

Recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent) with a specialisation in Social Sciences

Experience teaching at primary or preparatory school level (advantageous)

A passion for and experience in boys’ sport coaching

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to motivate and connect with young learners

Collaborative, enthusiastic, and committed to the broader life of the school
