Position Overview
The High School Learning Support Teacher will provide academic, social, and emotional support to students with mild to moderate learning needs within a mainstream environment. This includes teaching Learning Support classes, co-teaching in core subjects, and collaborating closely with staff, parents, and administrators to develop and implement inclusive practices across the school.
The role is a key component of the Student Success Team, working in partnership with counselors, general education teachers, and the K–12 Inclusion Services Team.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Special Education / Learning Support (Master’s preferred)

Valid license or certification in Special Education / Learning Support
Preferred Skills and Experience
-
Successful experience teaching Learning Support at the secondary level
-
Expertise in planning Tier 3 interventions and supporting students with diverse learning needs
-
Experience teaching or supporting Math and Sciences
-
Familiarity with implementing a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS)
-
Ability to develop Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) using student data
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents, and staff

Proven belief that all students can learn and succeed

Experience leading or inspiring innovative educational practices

Commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement

Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural, international environment

Experience leading professional learning for colleagues
