Position Overview
The Learning Support Teacher will support the academic, social, and emotional needs of middle school students with mild to moderate learning needs. Responsibilities include teaching Learning Support classes, co-teaching in core subjects, and collaborating with teachers, counselors, and parents. This role is central to the Student Success Team and the K12 Inclusion Services Team to promote inclusive practices.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Special Education/Learning Support (Master’s preferred)

License or certification in Special Education/Learning Support
Preferred Skills and Experience:

Experience teaching Learning Support at the secondary/middle school level

Supporting students with a wide range of needs, including math and sciences

Tier 3 intervention planning

Multi-tiered system of support implementation

Data-driven development of Individual Learning Plans

Collaborative and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues

Advisory programming and leading innovative practices

Professional development in Learning Support and inclusive practices
