Job Description:
Cape Union Mart International is seeking a reliable, flexible, and responsible Service Desk Technician to field all calls to the IT Service Desk. The ideal candidate will be a quick, logical thinker with excellent communication skills and a strong interest in Information Technology.
Responsibilities:

Field and prioritize incoming IT support calls.

Escalate complex issues to second- and third-line support teams.

Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.

Identify and implement service desk improvements.

Work rotating shifts (Monday to Sunday) to ensure coverage during peak times.

Perform administrative duties related to incident management, ticketing, and reporting.
Requirements:
-
2–3 years’ experience in a service desk or technical support role.

Retail IT experience advantageous.

IT qualification or relevant certification advantageous.

Proficient with Microsoft Office, POS systems, Oracle Retail, SAGE X3, or similar ERP software.

Understanding of computer hardware components and troubleshooting.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
