Job Description
The American International School of Johannesburg (AISJ) seeks a passionate and experienced High School IBDP Economics & HS Social Studies Teacher to join its Johannesburg Campus. This full-time position includes teaching IBDP Economics and Grade 9 or 10 Integrated Social Studies within an 8-period rotating block schedule (teachers teach 6 of 8 blocks). The teacher will also serve as a homeroom advisor, contributing to the school’s Well-Being Program.
Qualifications & Experience

Secondary teaching certification in Social Studies (Master’s preferred)

Degree in Economics
-
Successful experience teaching IBDP Economics
-
Recent training and/or experience in IBDP Economics
-
Strong communication and collaboration skills
-
Commitment to differentiated instruction and inclusive education
-
Ability to use data to inform and improve teaching practice
-
Experience in advisory (homeroom/Well-Being) programs
-
Proven success in innovative teaching and curriculum design
