Job Description:
Dainfern College, an independent, co-educational school in Sandton, invites applications for a Physical Education Locum Teacher & Sports Coach position. This fixed-term role involves teaching Grade 4-7 students Physical Education as part of the Life Orientation curriculum and coaching sport as part of the school’s extramural programme.
Key Responsibilities:

Teach Physical Education to Grades 4-7 (girls and boys), as part of the Life Orientation curriculum.

Coach sports as part of the school’s extramural programme, including on Saturdays during term.

Provide knowledge and guidance on the physical and emotional development of children.

Attend and contribute to workshops and meetings as required.

Support the school’s ethos and work in alignment with the College’s core values.
Minimum Requirements:

Relevant qualification and SACE accreditation.

Proven track record in Physical Education teaching.

Insight into and proficiency in coaching various sporting codes and methods.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and administrative skills.

A commitment to extramural activities, including Saturdays during term.

A strong alignment with the school’s ethos, especially regarding inclusion and positive education.

A team player with a positive attitude and a passion for working with children.
